First Aid and Safety
Doc's Fishhook Removal Kit
Contains These First Aid Materials;
- Fishhook Removal String with Safety Tubing was designed specifically to remove fishhooks from people. The string is actually 1/4" cotton tape. The safety tubing slides over the string and up against the hook. When the hook is removed the tubing will hold the hook to the string, preventing potential injuries from a flying hook.
- Medical exam gloves, Nitrile (Non-Latex). Every fishhook that penetrates human skin has blood on it. Protect yourself by always wearing gloves when removing fishhooks from people.
- Antibiotic ointment has been proven to reduce infection rates and help wounds heal faster.
- Fabric Bandages to cover the wound while you continue fishing.
- Cleansing wipes to remove dirt/bait/fish from your hands before removing a fishhook.
- Adhesive foam tip and barb covers to cover extra non-embedded hook tips, preventing further hook injuries.
